On May 16, 2024, the Parliament of Mongolia (State Great Khural) adopted the Law on Parliament, the Law on Parliamentary Oversight, and the Law on Parliamentary Procedures. These laws aim to strengthen the functionality of the respective organizations and ensure the effective exercise of their oversight powers. In collaboration with the Hanns Seidel Foundation, the Parliamentary Secretariat of Mongolia organized a corresponding event. This program was successfully carried out in three phases at the "Terelj Juulchin Resort" between November and December 2024.

At the initiative of the Christina Noble Children’s Foundation, the Hanns Seidel Foundation (HSS) and the International Development Law Organization (IDLO) in collaboration with the Juvenile Rehabilitation Center of the Justice and Corrections Authority conducted a workshop on the topic "Human Rights and Legal Awareness."

On November 22, 2024, the Parliamentary Chancellery of Mongolia collaborated with the Hanns Seidel Foundation to organize a training course on "Methodology for Evaluating the Implementation of Legal Norms."

The UNCCD COP16 took place from December 2 to 13, 2024, and concluded with an action plan to support the international initiative, which provides more than 12 billion dollars for land restoration and strengthening drought resilience. On December 9, the Mongolian Media Council, supported by the Hanns Seidel Foundation, conducted a consultation session on "Paragraphs 13 and 14 of the criminal law: their implementation and the self-regulation of journalistic ethics."

On December 6, 2024, the Constitutional Court of Mongolia held an online session to exchange experiences regarding the decisions of the German Federal Constitutional Court. The event was supported by the Hanns Seidel Foundation.

This conference was held to celebrate the 90th birthday of Chimid B., a Mongolian labor hero, people's teacher, and honorary lawyer.

Since 1993, the Hanns Seidel Foundation (HSF) has been actively committed to promoting the rule of law and advancing democratic structures in Mongolia. As part of this ongoing engagement, Markus Ferber, MEP and Chairman of the HSF, recently had the honor of welcoming Oyunsaikhan Altangerel, the Mongolian Minister for Justice and Internal Affairs, to the HSF headquarters in Munich.

Mongolia is a party to 15 international environmental conventions and 16 protocols, with over 30 environmental laws currently in effect in the country. However, there is a lack of adequate coordination between these laws and the aforementioned international agreements, as well as an effective system for monitoring their implementation
