The Hanns Seidel Foundation (HSS) has been supporting the development and amendment of Mongolia's administrative legislation and the further education and training of administrative judges from the very beginning. The main partners in this area of cooperation are the Ministry of Justice and Home Affairs and the country's Supreme Court.

Mr. Bulgantamir U. - a young researcher in Mongolia - has now become the first scholarship holder of HSS Mongolia's domestic scholarship program, which was launched to mark the 30th anniversary of the foundation's activities in the Northeast Asian country.

HSS Mongolia is now awarding scholarships to talented researchers who have completed a degree in environmental and legal studies and are working in their home country.

Every year, the Crime Prevention Coordination Council in Mongolia, in cooperation with the environmental police and other relevant institutions, conducts the “We Protect Nature” campaign for one month with the aim of raising public awareness of environmental law. This year, the “Everyone is Ranger” campaign took place from April 15 - May 15, 2023.

Ms. Sunjidmaa.R, an expert from a partner organization of the Hanns Seidel Foundation, the Environmental Education Center of NUM, focuses on Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) in the federal state of Bavaria. During her research, she visited various German institutions specializing in ESD for different age groups and exchanged ideas.

As part of the 'We Protect Nature' campaign, the HSS, in cooperation with the Crime Prevention Coordination Council in Mongolia, launched the 'Everyone is Ranger' competition among media companies with the aim of raising public awareness of environmental law and protection.

On the occasion of International Children's Day on June 1, 2023, the drawing competition took place among the children, where children between 6-14 expressed their imagination and creativity about the environment and the law with pictures.

In the provinces of Gobi-Altai, Khovd, Sukhbaatar and Dornod, training courses were held to qualify legal mentors in the field of environmental law and law.
