In response to requests and suggestions from Mongolian administrative law researchers to comment on the relationship between the executive and judicial branches from the perspective of a German lawyer, Dr. Dr. h.c. HSS has been supporting the international academic conferences organized annually by the Law Enforcement University for five years. As part of this cooperation, the international academic conference 'Current Border Security Problems, Approaches to Solutions' took place on October 11-12, 2018.

At the invitation of the Hanns-Seidel-Foundation, Dr. Peter Kasiske, Professor at the Institute for Criminal Law at the University of Augsburg, worked in Mongolia from October 5 - 11, 2018.

With the publication 'Argumente und Materialien der Entwicklungszusammenarbeit' (Arguments and Materials for Development Cooperation) and the political background reports of the foreign staff, the Institute for International Cooperation of the HSS makes current issues of development cooperation accessible to the German public.

The Law Institute of Mongolian State University, Mongolian Bar Association, Chimid Foundation, Hanns Seidel Foundation and Nagoya University jointly organized the above conference on October 8, 2018 in Ulaanbaatar, while Mongolian, Russian, Japanese, German and Korean scholars shared their experiences and opinions on current problems of constitutional and administrative law reforms.
