Due to a lack of knowledge about Mongolian legislation and the rights and obligations of media employees, there are increasing numbers of cases in Mongolia in which journalists have to appear before judicial authorities.

On the 21st and 22nd of this month, the first National Conference of Senior Civil Servants will be held in Ulaanbaatar, where many topical issues will be discussed, including the responsibility of civil servants in the public sector.

Since 2003, the Hanns-Seidel-Foundation's "Legal education" academy has been publishing the "Jusline & Rechtsnachrichten" newsletter with the aim of promoting legal awareness among the public.
