The welcome speech was held by by Ms. Munkhdush Judaa (Ministry of Environment and Climate Change of Mongolia), followed by Mr. Felix Glenk (Country Representative of HSF Mongolia) and Mr. Nyambayar Batbayar (Director of WSCC Mongolia). Guest experts from Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, India and China also had the opportunity to present their research results on IKTT.
Despite nature conservation regulations and legal protection measures, bird species are endangered by poaching, smuggling and short-lived hunting practices. Not only are their habitats and resting places gradually being degraded, but the ecosystem along the Central Asian Flyway (CAF) is also being destroyed. As part of the event, some measures were taken to ensure the survival of migratory bird species and to preserve their habitats along the CAF. Ongoing commitment, coordinated action and innovative conservation strategies are necessary to ensure the conservation of animals. The topics, insights and strategies discussed at the workshop will form a valuable basis for future nature conservation measures and policies.
