Visit to the National Forensics Institute (NFI)

Mr. Felix Glenk and Prof. Dr. Dr.h.c. Mr. Michael Walther, advisor to the Foundation's environmental project, visited the National Forensics Institute and toured the laboratories there.

They met with Ms. B. Davaa - deputy director of the NFI - and Mr. N. Ganbayar - director of the NFI in the capital Ulaanbaatar - for a working meeting and exchanged views on further cooperation.

 

Mr. Glenk emphasized the importance of the qualification of inspectors for the effective fight against environmental crime. He expressed the willingness of the HSS to support the exchange with German experts through further training measures for inspectors.

Support for the sequencing of zoological DNA and the establishment of a gene bank of rare animal and plant species in Mongolia were the main topics of discussion.
