Handbook
An Award-Winning Handbooks for Investigating Environmental Crimes were handed out.

Within the framework of the legal project for the environment aimed at preserving biodiversity through collaboration with law enforcement agencies, the Hanns Seidel Foundation has been working with the General Police Department’s Environmental Police Division since 2022.

As part of this collaboration, a training handbook for the retraining of officers has been developed and handed over.
The handbook includes methods and techniques for investigating and prosecuting nine types of environmental crimes specified in Chapter 24 of Mongolia’s Criminal Code.

Highlighting the handbook’s significant role in detecting and investigating environmental crimes, Colonel M. Batsaikhan, Head of the Environmental Police Division, emphasized that it will serve as a key resource for officers. He also expressed gratitude to the Hanns Seidel Foundation for its intellectual contribution to the training of officers.

The handbook competed in the 2024 academic competition for "Best Work" organized under the auspices of the Minister of Justice and Internal Affairs. Out of 27 entries, it was awarded a special prize.
