Earth School Mongolia - 2026
Training of Trainers

On 7 March 2026, a Training of Trainers (ToT) workshop was successfully organized in Ulaanbaatar at the office of the Hanns Seidel Foundation in Mongolia as part of the Earth School Mongolia 2026 program.

The training brought together trainers who were prepared under the Young Ambassadors Program. Participants were introduced to the methodology, content, and teaching materials necessary for implementing the Earth School Mongolia 2026 program nationwide.

Earth School Mongolia 2026, implemented under the theme “Empowering Youth for Environmental Justice and Climate Action,” is an initiative of the United Nations Association of Mongolia. The program aims to strengthen knowledge among students aged 12–17 on environmental protection, climate change, desertification, as well as environmental law and governance.

During the training, the following topics were presented and discussed:

• Introduction to the Earth School Mongolia 2026 program
• Methodology and structure of the seminars
• Roles and responsibilities of trainers
• Teaching tools and educational materials used in the program

The Earth School Mongolia 2026 program will be implemented nationwide from March to August 2026 in a hybrid format (online and in-person). In addition to providing environmental education, the program will support students in developing and implementing student-led environmental initiatives and projects at their schools.

Currently, around 70 schools have registered, with more than 1,500 students expected to participate in the program. This represents an important step toward strengthening environmental awareness and active civic engagement among Mongolia’s youth.

With the successful completion of the Training of Trainers workshop, an important foundation has been established for the nationwide implementation of Earth School Mongolia 2026.
