The Fundamental Right to Appeal: Implementation of the Right to an Appeal

The Mongolian Lawyers' Association and the HSS Mongolia organized an accredited expert discussion on the above-mentioned topic among members of the association on the occasion of the Day of Lawyers.

The revision of the Court Constitution Act on January 15, 2021, restricted the filing of appeals to the Supreme Court based on certain criteria.

 

This change has led to numerous disputes, particularly in the legal world. The specialist discussion is intended to give lawyers the opportunity to take a stand on this contentious issue and consequently to standardize different views in the legal world to a certain extent. The results of the discussion will be passed on to the relevant committees.

Mr. Felix Glenk opened the discussion with a short speech in which he congratulated the participants on the Lawyers' Day and wished the event every success.
