Day 1 — Foundations & Conflict Analysis
On the first day, participants explored the theoretical foundations of negotiation and mediation, learned psychological communication methods, and were introduced to the key principles of ADR (Alternative Dispute Resolution).
Using the PASTENO method, they analyzed practical case studies, reinforcing the link between theory and real-world application. Interactive exercises helped participants identify their individual negotiation styles and prepare for their assigned roles in the simulation on Day 2.
Day 2 — Multi-Party Negotiation Simulation
On the second day, the groups developed their strategies, defined objectives, and worked with important concepts such as BATNA and ZOPA.
This was followed by a phase of “Corridor Diplomacy”, during which interests, potential alliances, and compromise options were explored.
Three thematic working groups addressed the following areas:
• Security & de-escalation
• Economic development & cooperation in renewable energy
• Human rights & humanitarian issues
The training concluded with a plenary negotiation simulation, during which participants drafted a joint communiqué, outlining principles and mechanisms for future dialogue processes.
