The project officially began its activities for this year by welcoming the first participants of the spring session — 10th grade students from Secondary School No. 51 in Bayangol District.
The opening ceremony was attended by representatives of the Hanns Seidel Foundation in Mongolia, a member of the Citizens’ Representative Khural of Ulaanbaatar and advisor to the Governor of the Capital City on social policy, representatives of the Ecological Police Department, as well as representatives of the Ecological Education Center of the National University of Mongolia.
From 2022 to 2025, the Hanns Seidel Foundation supported the first four phases of the project, reaching more than 14,000 youth from remote schools in Chingeltei, Bayanzurkh, Songinokhairkhan, and Sukhbaatar districts free of charge.
Within the framework of “Youth: Environment and Law – 5,” around 2,000 students from Bayangol District will participate this year. In cooperation with the Ecological Police Department, a special educational station on illegal hunting and wildlife protection will also be organized.
The project aims to strengthen environmental awareness among youth and provide knowledge on environmental protection, biodiversity conservation, and environmental law.
The program will continue in autumn, when more than 1,500 students from remote districts of the capital are expected to participate.
