Problems with the Application of New Criminal Laws (2015)

On 23 December 2019, the Criminal Chamber of the Supreme Court and the representation of the Hanns Seidel Foundation organized a specialist discussion among criminal judges of all instances in the capital on the topic of 'Some problems to be considered when applying the revised Criminal Code and the Code of Criminal Procedure'.

The event was attended by a total of 27 judges from the first-instance criminal courts of all districts of the capital, as well as from the criminal courts of appeal and appellate courts. Lectures were given on the topics of 'Problems to be considered in the judicial investigation of the crime of domestic violence', 'Simplified criminal proceedings' and 'Legal basis for the rejection of the criminal case to the public prosecutor's office within the framework of Section 33.3 of the Code of Criminal Procedure' and a specialist discussion was held within the framework of the lecture topics.

The above-mentioned expert discussion is intended to standardize the interpretation and application of some terms of the revised criminal laws by criminal judges and thus improve the quality of case law.
