Plant Examination and Environmental Law Enforcement: Book Launch and Expert Discussion
The event went well beyond a ceremonial book launch. It developed into a substantive expert discussion involving researchers, forensic experts, and representatives of professional institutions. Participants discussed the scientific identification of plants and plant-based raw materials, the assessment of evidence in environmental crime cases, and the practical application of forensic examination methods.
The discussion also addressed methods of species identification, the role of forensic expertise in investigating illegal harvesting and trade, and opportunities to integrate scientific findings into professional training and everyday practice.
The publication is designed as a practical reference for forensic experts. It is expected to support the scientifically sound identification and documentation of environmental offences and contribute to protecting Mongolia’s plant resources and biodiversity.
