Nomadic Nature & Environmental Law

On April 30 and May 1, 2026, a two-day training “Environmental Law and Nature Protection – Nomadic Nature Trunk (NNT) Trainers’ Training” was successfully held in Bulgan soum, Khovd.

 

The event was jointly organized by the International Takhi Group, Nomadic Nature Conservation and Mongolian Environment Civil Council, with support from the Hanns-Seidel-Stiftung.

The training focused on equipping teachers and trainers with practical knowledge in environmental law, nature conservation, and innovative environmental education methods. The Nomadic Nature Trunk stands out by integrating environmental law modules alongside conservation topics.

Key topics included:

  • Animal adaptation and ecosystems
  • Biodiversity and endangered species
  • Habitat loss and waste management
  • Field-based learning such as water analysis
  • Traditional ecological knowledge 

Environmental law sessions were delivered by Dulmaa, Executive Director of the Mongolian Environment Civil Council.

 

Following the training, on May 2, participants visited Takhiin Tal at the invitation of the International Takhi Group, together with the German Ambassador and the UN Resident Coordinator.
