Joint Activities in the Environmental Sector

In the new funding phase (2022-2024), the HSS will cooperate with the Ministry of Justice and Home Affairs and with the member organizations of the established Subcommittee for Environmental Crime Prevention as part of its objective to promote sustainable environmental management.

As part of this cooperation, representatives of the ministry, the HSS agency and the Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS) exchanged views and ideas on joint activities in 2022.

 

The participants have agreed to organize a joint discussion event between the authorities in April and May 2022, which will be attended by representatives of all authorities responsible for the prevention, investigation and prosecution of environmental crime.  

'In the service of democracy, peace and development' - this is the motto with which the Hanns-Seidel-Foundation describes its work and mission worldwide. It has been active in Mongolia since 1993 and has been intensively supporting the establishment of the rule of law in Mongolia ever since. From 2022, it will expand its commitment to include current global issues such as environmental law, ecological sustainability and climate change.  

 

In 2022, the HSS is planning over 30 activities in the environmental sector aimed at protecting and preserving the country's unspoiled nature, combating and preventing environmental crime and improving environmental law.
