Promoting Human Rights and Legal Awareness in Juvenile Rehabilitation

At the initiative of the Christina Noble Children’s Foundation, the Hanns Seidel Foundation (HSS) and the International Development Law Organization (IDLO) in collaboration with the Juvenile Rehabilitation Center of the Justice and Corrections Authority conducted a workshop on the topic "Human Rights and Legal Awareness."

The training event was opened by Mr. Bayarbaatar, the head of the rehabilitation center for young people, alongside Mr. Felix Glenk, the country representative of the Hanns Seidel Foundation in Mongolia, and Ms. Amarjargal, the director of the Christain Noble Children's Foundation in Mongolia. Mr. Arnaud Appriou, the program manager from the Embassy of the European Union, as well as a representative from the General Department for the Protection of Child and Family Development, also attended the event. They welcomed the children present and presented them with gifts. 

Mr. Bayarbaatar, head of the Youth Rehabilitation Center, emphasized the importance of establishing a learning environment that meets the standards necessary for effectively rehabilitating and educating children.

 

Training for the employees of the rehabilitation center was led by several experts. Ms. Narantungalag S., a senior researcher at the National Legal Institute, presented on the topic of "Ethics for Public Officials." Ms. Yanjinlham Z., a researcher specializing in criminal law at the Judicial Research, Training, and Information Academy of Mongolia, addressed "The Challenges of Combating Corruption Among Public Officials." Additionally, Dr. Baavgai, an expert in child rights protection, contributed to the training.

 

The training for the youth was conducted by Ms. Namuun P., a social worker from the Christina Noble Children’s Foundation, who covered the topic of “Resocialization Programs.” Dr. Baavgai, an expert in child rights protection, also led a session on “Social Responsibility and Engagement of Children.”
