Pro Bono: Access to Justice Exchange in Ulaanbaatar

For the first time in Mongolia, the Mongolian Bar Association, the international organization “Babseacle,” and the Office of the Governor of the Capital City jointly organized the 13th Asian Pro Bono Forum from October 3 to 5, 2025. The event brought together around 300 lawyers, researchers, and representatives from government and civil society organizations across 30 countries.

The Asia Pro Bono Conference is a major regional event where stakeholders develop, explore, and share pro bono initiatives and projects that enhance access to justice in Asia and around the world.

During the forum, several informative and impactful sessions were held, including “Listening to the Silent: Psychological Pro Bono Assisted Strategies for Supporting Abused Children”, “Pro Bono Impact Measurement: Evaluating and Presenting Your Impact” and “A Collaborative Framework for Justice: The Public-Private Partnership between Singapore’s Public Defender’s Office and Pro Bono SG,” among others.

Furthermore, the forum offered a wide range of opportunities for exchanging experiences, building networks, and promoting international cooperation among lawyers, organizations, and government institutions.
