Workshop
Ensuring Security and Order in the Justice System

On 26-27 October 2021, the Supreme Judicial Council, the Main Police Office and the HSS organized a two-day workshop in the capital for the country's police officers responsible for ensuring the security and order of the judiciary and the security of judges.

The aim of the workshop was to increase the skills of the "court police officers" through practical training, increasing their knowledge of the law and imparting knowledge about international experiences. As part of the practical training, the police officers were trained in a simulated environment to maintain order during the court hearing, ensure the safety of the judges, parties to the proceedings and those present, forcibly produce the accused, defendants, witnesses and other parties to the proceedings, react quickly in the event of escape attempts or cases and initiate search measures, etc.

Mr. S.Munkhjargal - HSS project worker - provided the participants with information about the German system for ensuring security and order in the justice system and its education system.

All 68 participants in the workshop received certificates of participation following the theoretical and practical training. Some police officers were honored for their excellent performance during the closing ceremony with the 'Medal of Honor of the Supreme Judicial Council' and a letter of thanks. The awards were presented by Mr. A. Nasandelger - member of the Supreme Judicial Council.

In his closing remarks, Mr. Nasandelger emphasized: "Ensuring the security and order of the judiciary and the security of judges is an important factor in protecting the legal right to the independence of the judiciary and judges, which is enshrined in the Constitution and the Judiciary Constitution Act. This important task was entrusted solely to the police by law. This responsible task can only be carried out by specially trained personnel. This risky, not easy task requires both physical and mental readiness as well as theoretical legal knowledge, which we want to improve through the two-day training course. We would like to organize this training annually. I wish all participants every success in putting the knowledge and skills they have acquired into practice and every success in their work."
