Conference at the Genghis Khan National Museum
In celebration of the anniversary, the German political foundations active in Mongolia organized a conference on current constitutional issues at the Genghis Khan National Museum on November 15, 2024. This event commemorated both the 100th anniversary of the Mongolian constitution and the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and the Federal Republic of Germany.nd.
Book Presentation as a Central Part of the Program
During the conference, the book “100 Years of Mongolia's Constitution” was presented. This volume was edited by Dr. Oliver Corff, a German-Mongolian scholar, and Professor Dr. Ts. Sarantuya, a distinguished lawyer. The first volume, titled “The History of Idea Formation,” explores the history and ideological foundations of the Mongolian constitution. Published with the support of the foundation, the work is intended for scholars, lawyers, and interested readers.
Dr. Oliver Corff delivered a lecture introducing the book, explaining its background, content, and significance within the context of Mongolian legal history.
High-Profile Participants and Engaging Discussions
The conference featured numerous representatives from key constitutional bodies, including the Constitutional Court, the Supreme Court, the Ministry of Justice and Interior, and the Judicial Council. The panel was enhanced by the presence of renowned lawyers, scholars, and political representatives.
In their welcoming speeches, G. Bayasgalan, Chairman of the Constitutional Court, and the Deputy Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Mongolia highlighted the importance of the anniversary and the value of international cooperation.
