Educational Event to Combat Cybercrime

An educational event on combating cybercrime took place from 3 to 5 October 2016, organized in cooperation with the Ministry of Justice and Home Affairs. The event was attended by 54 police officers from all 21 aimags (administrative districts) of Mongolia, eight districts of the capital, the Main Police Office and the Criminal Investigation Department, as well as 6 employees of the Main Intelligence Office and 1 lecturer from the Law Institute of the Mongolian State University.

The workshop was led by Chief Superintendent T. Effinger, Augsburg Criminal Investigation Department. In particular, the topics were: Combating cybercrime, securing digital evidence using software, introducing evidence in court proceedings, identifying criminal accounts in social networks, investigating criminal activities on the Internet and international cooperation in this area.
