Geopolitical Challenges and Opportunities in Northeast Asia

HSF Mongolia office had the opportunity to host a delegation from South Korea including representatives of the Ministry of Unification, the South-North Korea Exchange and Cooperation Support Association, and K-Water.

The meeting was an engaging exchange of ideas related to geopolitical challenges and opportunities in Northeast Asia, and potentials for more integration in the region.

During the discussion, Felix Glenk, representative of HSF Mongolia gave an overview of Mongolia's current geopolitical situation and explored potential avenues for integration within Northeast Asia, as well as possibilities for inter-Korean exchange and a potential role of Mongolia.

However, given the current geopolitical climate, such opportunities appear rare. This meeting highlighted the complexities and challenges of fostering cooperation in the region, but also addressed shared concerns like climate change, water scarcity or air pollution and underscored the potential for innovative solutions to address these challenges.
