The New Phase of Legal Reform in Mongolia.

The Ministry of Justice and Home Affairs, in collaboration with the German-European Law Center of the School of Law at the National University of Mongolia (NUM), organized a theoretical and practical discussion on "The New Phase of Legal Reform in Mongolia" on November 18. The discussion gathered over 120 participants, including representatives from legislative, executive, and judicial state institutions, academics, researchers, and experts, who discussed ways to enhance the national legal system.

The Hanns Seidel Foundation supported the discussion as a co-organizer.

The event was inaugurated by the Minister of Justice and Home Affairs, O. Altangerel; the Chair of the Standing Committee on Legal Affairs of the State Great Khural (Parliament), D. Tsogtbaatar; the Director of the German-European Law Center at the School of Law at NUM, Dr. T. Zolboo; L. Zayaa, the coordinator of the project to improve the legal framework for the judiciary under the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ); and Felix Glenk, the Resident Representative of the Hanns Seidel Foundation in Mongolia.

 

Several notable presentations were delivered during the discussion, including a presentation by Mr. Friederik Witte, former State Secretary of the Ministry of Environment, Energy, and Climate Protection of Lower Saxony, Federal Republic of Germany, on "Legal Reforms and Experiences in the Federal Republic of Germany."

The event concluded with closing remarks by the State Secretary of the Ministry of Justice and Home Affairs, N. Myagmar.
