Global Perspectives on Digital Law: A Collaborative Forum on Emerging Legal Trends and Challenges
The event was held in collaboration with the University of Würzburg, the Research and Development Institute of the Parliamentary Office of Mongolia, and the Hanns Seidel Foundation in Mongolia.
Participants of the event discussed and shared their experiences on topics such as digital law, international cooperation, and emerging legal trends. The discussion served as an important forum, providing an opportunity to examine the impact of digital technologies on the legal field and their relevance in international law.
The following speakers were present and delivered insightful lectures:
- Prof. Dr. Eric Hilgendorf, Chair of Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure Law, Legal Theory, Information Law, and Legal Informatics at the University of Würzburg, spoke on "Corruption as a Challenge for the Rule of Law."
- Prof. Dr. Lumingu Manzanza, Professor at the University of Kikwit in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, addressed the topic "Challenges of Digitalization in the Congo."
- Dr. Severin Löffler, lawyer and partner at the law firm Jordan & Dr. Aufferman in Würzburg, presented on "Digitalization and Legal Practice – A Report from the Field."
- Doctoral candidate Nicolas Härtlein from the Julius Maximilian University of Würzburg explained the "European AI Regulation."
- G. Davaadorj, Chair of the Civil Law Committee of the Mongolian Bar Association and Chief Judge of the Civil Appellate Court of the Capital, delivered a lecture on "Legal Framework and Challenges for Digital Transition in Mongolia."
Around 50 lawyers and legal professionals participated in the discussion and engaged in an intensive exchange of ideas.
