Mrs. Tydecks-Zhou visits

Ms. Debora Tydecks-Zhou - Head of the Northeast and Central Asia Department at HSS headquarters in Munich - is working in Mongolia this week. As part of her first trip to Mongolia, she took a look at HSS project work and exchanged views with representatives of partner institutions on past, current and future cooperation.

During her visit, she took part in the international scientific conference 'Law and Development in the Time of Crisis', which was held to mark the 20th anniversary of the National Institute of Law. She met with representatives of regular partners such as Mr. N. Chinbat - President of the Constitutional Court of Mongolia -, Mr. D. Ganzorig - President of the Supreme Court -, Deputy Minister B. Solongoo and State Secretary P. Sainzorig of the Ministry of Justice and Home Affairs, Prof. B. Amarsanaa - Dean of the Faculty of Law of the State University -, B.Unumunkh - President of the Mongolian Lawyers Association - also met with representatives of new partners since the beginning of 2022 - the Sub-Commission for Environmental Crime Prevention, the member organizations, including the Environmental Police, the National Forensic Institute, etc. and the Environmental Education Center of the National University.

 

Ms. Tydecks-Zhou also met with representatives of HSS alumni in Mongolia and exchanged views on ways to expand alumni activities in Mongolia. 

At the end of her official trip, she visited the regional training measures for "legal mentors" as well as for environmental police officers and rangers in Selenge Province, organized in collaboration with the National Institute of Law. In Selenge Province, she also met with representatives of the local self-government bodies for talks.
