According to the 2018 'National Programme for Increasing Public Legal Awareness,' all governmental and non-governmental organizations are required to appoint specially trained legal mentors for citizens within their respective areas of responsibility. Since 2018, the employees designated as legal mentors have received annual training in both the aimags (regions) and the capital.
The Hanns Seidel Foundation, in cooperation with the National Institute of Law, successfully organized the 'Training for the Qualification of Legal Mentors in Environmental Law and Legal Studies' in the provinces of Gobi-Altai, Khovd, Sukhbaatar, and Dornod, in collaboration with the governor's offices of the respective provinces, during the period from May 23 to May 30, 2023.
The training in Gobi-Altai and Khovd provinces was taught by Doctor of Law, Professor Ts.Tselmeg, Lecturer of the Lawyers' Association, LLM of Law, G.Oyunbold, Senior Lecturer of NRI, LLM of Law, Tsetsegdari with a total of 88 legal mentors.
In the provinces of Sukhbaatar and Dornod, Prof. Dr. E.Batbayar, Dr. Associate Professor A.Altanzul, Lecturer S.Gantsetseg, NRI training specialist P.Azzaya taught a total of 74 legal mentors.
The training in Sukhbaatar province started with the opening words of the acting head of the legal department of Sukhbaatar province, G. Ganzorig, the representative of Hanns-Seidel-Foundation, Felix Glenk, the director of NRI, Kh.Erdem-Undrakh.
