Combating environmental crime

Today, representatives from 20 provinces and nine urban districts had the opportunity to gain qualifications and exchange ideas on the topic of 'Preventing environmental crime'.

The training aimed to increase the expertise of the officers of the Subcommittee on Environmental Crime Prevention and to improve their professional skills in implementing environmental legislation.

 

The event was attended by 33 secretaries and officials from the above-mentioned authority.

The training was led by experts from the Management Academy, the University of Internal Affairs, the Lawyers' Association and experts from the environmental police, in particular on the following topics:

  • Function, prevention policy and crime prevention strategy of the Subcommittee for Environmental Crime Prevention and by the Environmental Police.
  • Role of public authorities in combating environmental offenses and violations.
  • International expertise in combating environmental crime
  • Application of statistical data and research methodology of environmental crime for crime prevention
  • Enforcement of the law on crime and offense prevention, strategy and crime prevention policy

The training was organized in cooperation with the office of the Crime Prevention Committee of Mongolia. Participants gave extremely positive feedback about the event and wished to organize the event regularly in the future.
