Awarding scholarships for researchers

HSS Mongolia is now awarding scholarships to talented researchers who have completed a degree in environmental and legal studies and are working in their home country.

The Hanns Seidel Foundation has been active in Mongolia since 1993 and supports various nationwide measures for judges and administrative officials, organizes symposia, teaching events, working visits between Bavaria and Mongolia as well as studies together with local partners and regularly publishes handbooks and legal commentaries. The foundation's focus lies in supporting legal reforms, particularly in the areas of constitutional law, criminal law and administrative law. Additionally, the HSS is now also intensifying its work in other areas of law, such as commercial law and environmental law. The primary goal of the cooperation is the training of Mongolian lawyers in Germany, the further training of multipliers in Mongolia by German experts and the provision of expertise in the form of publications and advice.

Since 1995, more than 30 lawyers and researchers have been awarded scholarships from the Hanns Seidel Foundation for further training and research stays in Germany in the field of law, or have completed their master's and doctoral studies.

On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of HSS Mongolia, the Foundation is awarding scholarships to young Mongolian researchers and talented young professionals to help them intensively investigate a research topic without financial constraints, so that they themselves can be better trained and build up a network.
