"Policy Empowerment" is in action

The "Policy Empowerment" program, designed to enhance young people's understanding of environmental laws and regulations while developing their skills in formulating policy recommendations, is now officially being implemented among the members of the National Youth Council for the Environment.

It is being implemented in collaboration with the Hanns Seidel Foundation and the Lawyers' Association at the initiative of the UN Association of Mongolia.

At the opening, Mr. Felix Glenk, representative of the Hanns Seidel Foundation in Mongolia, Ms. Khaliun S., board member of the Administrative Law Committee of the Mongolian Lawyers' Association, and Ms. Bayardelger, Secretary General of the UN Association of Mongolia, gave a speech to the members.

As part of the "Policy Empowerment" program, council members not only learn from seasoned experts about national and international laws and legal frameworks concerning environmental and climate protection, but they also contribute to decision-making by developing recommendations. Additionally, participants share their acquired knowledge and experiences with high school students, encouraging the younger generation to get involved in environmental protection.

The seminar was opened by Mr. Lkhagvabayar R., Coordinator of the Environmental Law Subcommittee of the Mongolian Lawyers' Association, with a lecture on the topic "Overview of Mongolian Environmental Law and Legislation."
