B.Chimid - Father of Mongolia's Democratic Constitution

On the occasion of the 85th birthday of Prof. Dr. B.Chimid - renowned state and social functionary of Mongolia, main editor of the first democratic constitution of Mongolia and deserving jurist - an international scientific conference entitled 'B.Chimid - Father of the Democratic Constitution of Mongolia' was held on November 28, 2019 in the 'Great Session Hall' of the State Palace with the support of the President of the Great State Khoral (Parliament) of Mongolia B.Zandanshatar.

The event was organized with the participation of the Chancellery of the Great State Khoral, the National Institute of Law, the Chimid Foundation, the Mongolian State University, the Mongolian Bar Association and the Hanns Seidel Foundation. In addition to local scientists, academic representatives from the USA, the Federal Republic of Germany, the Russian Federation, the People's Republic of China, the Republic of Korea and Japan also took part in the conference with presentations on constitutional law topics.

 

During the conference, Prof. Dr. Ts.Sarantuya gave a lecture on 'Mongolian model of the constitutional supervision: protection of fundamental right and balance of power' and Dr. jur. Martin Paus - a scholar from Germany, who participated in the conference at the invitation of the HSS - gave a lecture on 'The German constructive vote of no confidence in comparative perspective'.
